Draft Grade — Commanders
Overall A-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureA
Nobody dealt better than the Commanders this weekend: A-.

Whoever sat across the table from the Commanders should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

Nwankpa has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Bottom line, with Gennings Dunker leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick Analysis
Pick55 Rnd2 Gennings Dunker
They did well to land Gennings Dunker in Round 2, Pick 23, just ahead of his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick71 Rnd3 Omar Cooper Jr.
Omar Cooper Jr. in pick No. 71 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick96 Rnd3 Nicholas Singleton
They took Nicholas Singleton at par in the Round 3 slot, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick123 Rnd4 Tacario Davis
A reasonable price with a little left over, Tacario Davis in slot 123. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick145 Rnd5 Xavier Nwankpa
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Xavier Nwankpa well ahead of where he belonged. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick185 Rnd6 Eric McAlister
Eric McAlister at pick 185 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick196 Rnd6 Trey Zuhn III
They went early on Trey Zuhn III in the 196th overall pick, and the value did not follow. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
