Draft Grade — Titans
Overall D
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureA
The Titans lost the trade table, and the D tells the story.

The Titans looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Trey Moore at pick 142 regardless, 71 picks early. Put together, it is a D.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Spending an early pick on cornerback with interior defensive lineman open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

On value alone, Muhammad makes the weekend a net positive.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.

Pick Analysis
Pick12 Rnd1 Caleb Downs
In pick No. 12 they get a rangy last line of defense, outstanding value to boot.
Pick18 Rnd1 Jeremiyah Love
In the 18th overall pick they get a lead back with juice at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick29 Rnd1 Arvell Reese
Arvell Reese at pick 29 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick34 Rnd2 Colton Hood
No edge and no loss on Colton Hood in Round 2, Pick 2; it is a wash and a sensible one. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick50 Rnd2 Ja'Kobi Lane
Nothing to complain about; Ja'Kobi Lane went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick75 Rnd3 Caleb Tiernan
They paid a round early for Caleb Tiernan in slot 75, more than the board wanted. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick103 Rnd4 Nyck Harbor
A tidy bit of business in Round 4, Pick 3, where Nyck Harbor graded well above the range. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick104 Rnd4 Malik Muhammad
They zigged when the board said zag, taking Malik Muhammad at cornerback with interior defensive lineman open.
Pick142 Rnd5 Trey Moore
This one needs a full-page explanation: Trey Moore in the Round 5 slot, miles early. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick148 Rnd5 Justin Joly
A reasonable price with a little left over, Justin Joly in slot 148. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick177 Rnd5 Drew Allar
The board fumbled Drew Allar all the way to the 177th pick, and they scooped it up. The roster fit checks out.
Pick226 Rnd7 Bryce Foster
Bryce Foster in the 226th overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick240 Rnd7 Da'Shawn Womack
Da'Shawn Womack in pick No. 240 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
