Nobody else had Chase Bisontis anywhere near the Round 3 slot. The Chargers did, by 37 spots, and that gap is the whole story.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Landing Slaughter that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Adding Tyler Biadasz by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
