Hawk12 DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks

FutureB-
The Seahawks worked the phones like thieves and earned a B+. The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Seahawks reached some 87 spots for DJ Uiagalelei, and value like that does not grow back.
They banked enough surplus on Emmanwori to cover a lot of smaller sins. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Trey Smith gives the group a proven body among the projects.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick50
Rnd2
Tyler Booker
A slide stopped in slot 50, with Tyler Booker worth more than the price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick52
Rnd2
Nick Emmanwori
Somehow Nick Emmanwori was still sitting there in the 52nd pick, and they pounced on premier safety value. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick63
Rnd2
Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins in pick No. 63 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick82
Rnd3
Mason Taylor
Mason Taylor in Round 3, Pick 18 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick92
Rnd3
Chris Paul Jr.
The board had Chris Paul Jr. higher than the Round 3 slot, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick133
Rnd4
Emery Jones Jr.
They paid up for Emery Jones Jr. at pick 133 when waiting would have done the job. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick137
Rnd4
Nohl Williams
Nohl Williams is a better player than the 137th overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick172
Rnd5
Dont'e Thornton Jr.
They went early on Dont'e Thornton Jr. in the Round 5 slot, and the value did not follow. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick175
Rnd5
Jonah Monheim
Jonah Monheim at pick 175 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick223
Rnd7
DJ Uiagalelei
DJ Uiagalelei in slot 223 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It fills a real need, too.
Pick234
Rnd7
Jordan Hancock
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Jordan Hancock in the 234th pick. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
