Nobody else had Spencer Petras anywhere near pick No. 257. The Packers did, by 240 spots, and that gap is the whole story. Put together, it is a D-.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Riley value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
