The Kalil Alexander selection is the head-turner. The Jets reached 41 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

Thompson falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

George Pickens gives the group a proven body among the projects. Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Arvell Reese and all.
