Start where it matters. The Saints took Jaxson Dart to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. It washes out to a C+, no better and no worse.

They are betting Dart proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Job largely done: quarterback settled and 2 of 8 of the wish list covered. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

If Jaxson Dart and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
