Draft Grade — Eagles
Overall B+
ValueA- NeedB+ TradesA- FutureB+
Best value of the weekend goes to the Eagles for Farooq: B+.

Thirty-one other rooms let Edrees Farooq slide, and the Eagles were the ones holding the card at slot 256. Highway robbery. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 9 of 9 of the wish list covered.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick Analysis
Pick34 Rnd2 Will Echoles
Circle this one: Will Echoles at pick No. 34 is a fall that decides a draft. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick53 Rnd2 Will Heldt
Will Heldt in No. 53 is fair value, right on his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick77 Rnd3 PJ Williams
PJ Williams in the Round 3 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick97 Rnd3 Bear Alexander
A top-tier interior defensive lineman at a bargain, Bear Alexander in Round 3, Pick 33, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick119 Rnd4 Braylon Staley
Braylon Staley is a better player than pick 119 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick126 Rnd4 Jaylen McClain
They robbed the room for Jaylen McClain here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It fills a real need, too.
Pick146 Rnd5 Dylan Raiola
Dylan Raiola at the 146th overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick155 Rnd5 Christian Gray
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Christian Gray at slot 155. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick169 Rnd5 Isaac Brown
They barely believed it either: Isaac Brown still on the board at the 169th overall pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick193 Rnd6 Xavier Lucas
Xavier Lucas in pick No. 193 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick206 Rnd6 Benjamin Brahmer
They took Benjamin Brahmer at par in Round 6, Pick 25, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick225 Rnd7 C.J. Fite
They will replay C.J. Fite at slot 225 for years; that is how good the value is. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick234 Rnd7 Cody Jackson
A straight-up fair deal on Cody Jackson at No. 234, value and slot in agreement. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick248 Rnd7 La'khi Roland
Somehow La'khi Roland was still sitting there in the 248th pick, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick256 Rnd7 Edrees Farooq
Edrees Farooq at pick 256 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
