The phones sank the Chiefs this weekend: D-.

The DeMonte Capehart pick is the one that will follow the Chiefs into the fall. They took him 51 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and tight end is still a hole.
