Ewers is the plan now, and the Jets grade out a F.

The Jets treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending pick No. 25 on Quinn Ewers a full 62 spots early. The warnings were there, and the F is the bill.

Quinn Ewers gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. That cornerback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Emmanwori. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

Bottom line, it will take a lot of luck to make this look better later.
