The Chargers spent real capital to be 28 picks early on Jaylen Harrell, and the board is going to hold them to it.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. The veteran additions, Tariq Woolen chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
