The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Panthers watched Jakobe Thomas slide 31 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Reaching for Elarms-Orr left real value on the table behind him. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
