The Bears won the night they stopped Benson from sliding. Grade: B-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Malik Benson tumbling to the Bears in No. 163 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. If Lawrence pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
