Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B+
ValueB NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureB-
The Raiders let Cowing fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

Thirty-one other rooms let Jacob Cowing slide, and the Raiders were the ones holding the card at Round 7, Pick 15. Highway robbery.

Every board in the league had Steele lower, and that gap is the story. The phones were where this weekend was really won.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. Khalen Saunders gives the group a proven body among the projects.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick19 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
In the Round 1 slot they get a home-run threat at receiver. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick46 Rnd2 Quinn Ewers
Quinn Ewers at Round 2, Pick 14 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick48 Rnd2 Kalen King
Kalen King in No. 48 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick78 Rnd3 Brian Thomas Jr.
Good price on Brian Thomas Jr. in slot 78, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick114 Rnd4 Danny Stutsman
Danny Stutsman at the 114th overall pick is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick151 Rnd5 Cole Bishop
Nice patience on Cole Bishop, who had no business lasting to pick No. 151. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick170 Rnd5 Brevyn Spann-Ford
They liked Brevyn Spann-Ford enough to skip the value, taking him in the 170th pick. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick192 Rnd6 Carson Steele
They reached into another round for Carson Steele, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick235 Rnd7 Jacob Cowing
Steal is underselling it; Jacob Cowing at No. 235 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
