The phones sank the 49ers this weekend: D.

Nobody else had Marcus Yarns anywhere near the 215th overall pick. The 49ers did, by 44 spots, and that gap is the whole story. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D is the result.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The TeSlaa value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, quarterback very much included.
