The Bears won the night they stopped Lane from sliding. Grade: B-.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Ja'Kobi Lane tumbling to the Bears in Round 4, Pick 29 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Foster has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.

They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
