FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Bills, and a B to prove it. Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Bills spent Round 5, Pick 27 on Kimani Vidal, a name most had 90 spots down the list. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
They will regret leaving linebacker for another day if the season turns on it. Getting Jenkins where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but linebacker.
Pick Analysis
Pick43
Rnd2
Xavier Legette
Xavier Legette at Round 2, Pick 11 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick60
Rnd2
Kris Jenkins
Nice patience on Kris Jenkins, who had no business lasting to the 60th overall pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick74
Rnd3
Renardo Green
No edge and no loss on Renardo Green in pick No. 74; it is a wash and a sensible one. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick144
Rnd5
Mason McCormick
Mason McCormick at the 144th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick160
Rnd5
Dillon Johnson
Dillon Johnson at No. 160 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick163
Rnd5
Kimani Vidal
Kimani Vidal at the Round 5 slot is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The roster fit checks out.
