The board owed the Seahawks one, and it paid up: Colton Hood, the No. 69 name on the board, sitting there at the Round 3 slot like a gift left on the doorstep. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Ponds pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots.

If Hughes pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
