Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B

Grand theft in slot 37: the Raiders steal Emmanwori and grade out a B.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Raiders never addressed edge rusher, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.

They banked enough surplus on Emmanwori to cover a lot of smaller sins. Reaching for Kone left real value on the table behind him.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Ashton Jeanty
In Round 1, Pick 6 they get a bell-cow for the offense. A real need, handled.
Pick37 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
Taking Nick Emmanwori in the 37th overall pick is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick68 Rnd3 Jaylin Noel
Jaylin Noel in the Round 3 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick108 Rnd4 Jacob Parrish
Jacob Parrish in No. 108 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick143 Rnd5 Kyle Williams
The board had Kyle Williams higher than pick 143, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick180 Rnd6 CJ West
CJ West in pick No. 180 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick213 Rnd6 Caleb Rogers
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Caleb Rogers at slot 213 is the proof. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick215 Rnd6 Kain Medrano
Kain Medrano in Round 6, Pick 39 is fair value, right on his grade. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick222 Rnd7 Bilhal Kone
Bilhal Kone in pick No. 222 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
