The Braiden McGregor selection is the head-turner. The Bears reached 77 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

Baker at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
