Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Chargers were there to profit. Brashard Smith, the No. 99 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 218. No fireworks, but a solid B.

They will need McCoy to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
