The Falcons won the night they stopped Alexander from sliding. Grade: B+.

The Falcons ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

The Alexander pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Every board in the league had Simpkins III lower, and that gap is the story. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
