Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Bears never addressed interior defensive lineman, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

The Johnson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. On value alone, Williams makes the weekend a net positive.

They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
