The Dolphins turned the phones into found money: A-. The tape said wait; the Dolphins did not. Eric Gentry went at the 238th overall pick, a good 114 picks before the board was ready. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Landing McNeil-Warren that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
In the end it comes back to Arvell Reese, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
