The Bills cashed the board's mistake on Trapilo: B.

The Bills spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Ozzy Trapilo, the No. 82 name on the board, in pick 206.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. The trade work was a quiet net positive. Job largely done: linebacker settled and 6 of 9 of the wish list covered.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Kenneth Grant
In slot 30 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick31 Rnd1 Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori at No. 31 is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick62 Rnd2 Azareye'h Thomas
Azareye'h Thomas in pick No. 62 lands just on the right side of the ledger. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick109 Rnd4 Tez Johnson
A tidy bit of business in the Round 4 slot, where Tez Johnson graded well above the range. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick132 Rnd4 Darius Alexander
Steal is underselling it; Darius Alexander at the 132nd overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick169 Rnd5 Nohl Williams
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Nohl Williams in the 169th pick, plain and simple. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick170 Rnd5 Trevor Etienne
Somehow Trevor Etienne was still sitting there in pick 170, and they pounced on premier running back value. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick173 Rnd5 Cody Simon
Circle this one: Cody Simon at Round 5, Pick 35 is a fall that decides a draft. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick177 Rnd6 Jonas Sanker
They barely believed it either: Jonas Sanker still on the board at slot 177. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick206 Rnd6 Ozzy Trapilo
They will replay Ozzy Trapilo at the 206th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
