The Lions treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending Round 6, Pick 28 on Reid Carrico a full 145 spots early. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Rutledge pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
