The Broncos found their guy under center in Maye: A-.

The Broncos torched the value chart for Taulia Tagovailoa, taking him 110 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. The sum of the weekend is a deserved A-.

They have staked the next five years on Drake Maye, which is the only story that really matters here. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Jones.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Broncos indulged a want in Sainristil while a need in interior defensive lineman and tight end stayed open.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Drake Maye and all.
