Draft Grade — Commanders
Overall

FutureA
The Commanders won the night they stopped Scott from sliding. Grade: D. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Commanders shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. A D that will need time and luck to look better.
That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Every board in the league had Igbinosun lower, and that gap is the story. Getting Scott where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Kayden McDonald
In pick 27 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher at fair value.
Pick58
Rnd2
Dillon Thieneman
Somehow Dillon Thieneman was still sitting there in slot 58, and they pounced on premier safety value. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick59
Rnd2
LT Overton
No drama and no debate, LT Overton went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 27. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick71
Rnd3
Jake Golday
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jake Golday in No. 71. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick80
Rnd3
Max Klare
They robbed the room for Max Klare here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick106
Rnd4
Keionte Scott
Keionte Scott at pick No. 106 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick133
Rnd4
Logan Jones
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Logan Jones. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick134
Rnd4
Davison Igbinosun
Davison Igbinosun in pick No. 134 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick185
Rnd6
Lander Barton
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Lander Barton at slot 185 is the proof. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick196
Rnd6
Bud Clark
Bud Clark at the Round 6 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
