Nobody had Carson Beck this high, and it is not close. The Chiefs reached 98 spots to get him at pick No. 9. The final tally is a middling C.

The whole projection now runs through Carson Beck; hit there and everything else looks smarter. The running back spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Canady steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
