The Packers clearly saw something nobody else did in J.J. Weaver, taking him 73 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.

That Williams pick is the receipt they will wave around later. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Job largely done: edge rusher settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
