The Cardinals did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B+.

Nobody had Cornelius Johnson this high, and it is not close. The Cardinals reached 26 spots to get him at pick 162. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

With quarterback, tight end and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them. Landing Cooper that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The veteran additions, Jamaal Williams chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
