The Bears robbed the room for Walker. Final grade: A. Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Bears came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A.
The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Walker value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
The Bears paired the rookies with proven help, Penei Sewell leading the way. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.
