The Cardinals did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Brian Thomas Jr. fell into pick No. 66.

The Bortolini pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The Carson pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback still on the board. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
