A solid, sensible weekend for the Packers: B.

The needs board said one thing and the Packers did another, using pick 58 on Payton Wilson while edge rusher, quarterback and other spots waited. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If Greenfield pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
