The board owed the 49ers one, and it paid up: Jha'Quan Jackson, the No. 178 name on the board, sitting there at Round 7, Pick 31 like a gift left on the doorstep.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
