The steal of the weekend belongs to the Jets and Coleman: D. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Jets shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.
The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, interior defensive lineman and other spots still on the board. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Reaching for Milton III left real value on the table behind him.
However the rest shakes out, Coleman at that price is a win they earned.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
