Draft Grade — Cowboys
Overall D
ValueC NeedB+ TradesF FutureA+
Quarterback settled, Sellers in the fold, and a D for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys torched the value chart for Elijah Paige, taking him 55 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

LaNorris Sellers is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back.

Landing Green that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 LaNorris Sellers
In No. 6 they get a franchise quarterback, a steep price for the projection. A real need, handled.
Pick8 Rnd1 Leonard Moore
In pick 8 they get a potential shutdown corner. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick11 Rnd1 Cam Coleman
In pick No. 11 they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick42 Rnd2 Trey'Dez Green
Circle this one: Trey'Dez Green at the 42nd pick is a fall that decides a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick47 Rnd2 A'Mauri Washington
A'Mauri Washington at the Round 2 slot is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick62 Rnd2 Anthony Smith
They left a pile of value on the table to take Anthony Smith this early at the 62nd overall pick. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick67 Rnd3 Mark Fletcher Jr.
Mark Fletcher Jr. at the 67th pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick73 Rnd3 Ben Roberts
They liked Ben Roberts enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 73. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick104 Rnd4 Elijah Paige
Elijah Paige at No. 104 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick110 Rnd4 Jaylen McClain
They read the board right and Jaylen McClain was the payoff at slot 110. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick125 Rnd4 Kameryn Crawford
Kameryn Crawford at the Round 4 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick192 Rnd6 Dezz Ricks
Dezz Ricks slid further than he should have, and pick 192 is lovely value for the cornerback. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
