The rest of the league had time to spare on LJ Martin; the Cowboys did not wait, grabbing him 48 spots ahead at No. 68.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. Whatever Arch Manning becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. A whole weekend of picks and offensive lineman is somehow still a want.

Green at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, offensive lineman very much included.
