Carter should have been long gone. The Broncos pounced, and earned a B.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Broncos watched Barrett Carter slide 39 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

The cost of the Ritzie reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.

The veteran additions, Alvin Kamara chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
