You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Lions did exactly that with Monroe Freeling in slot 17. It washes out to a C, no better and no worse.

The cornerback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

If Monroe Freeling and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
