FutureA+
The Titans worked the phones like thieves and earned a A-. The Titans ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.
They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took King.
Adding Dak Prescott by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. Ezeiruaku has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
Pick Analysis
Pick33
Rnd2
Luther Burden III
Luther Burden III is a better player than the 33rd overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick35
Rnd2
Jihaad Campbell
They paid sticker price for Jihaad Campbell in the Round 2 slot, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick44
Rnd2
Donovan Ezeiruaku
The board had cheaper options than Donovan Ezeiruaku at No. 44, and it noticed. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick103
Rnd4
Will Howard
Will Howard in pick No. 103 is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick120
Rnd4
Terrance Ferguson
Fair-plus on Terrance Ferguson, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick141
Rnd5
Kobe King
A slide stopped in Round 5, Pick 3, with Kobe King worth more than the price. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick167
Rnd5
Bhayshul Tuten
A tidy bit of business in pick 167, where Bhayshul Tuten graded well above the range. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick178
Rnd6
Dont'e Thornton Jr.
Dont'e Thornton Jr. at the 178th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The roster fit checks out.
Pick188
Rnd6
Ajani Cornelius
Ajani Cornelius slipping to the 188th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
