Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Javon Baker got past him. The Commanders do not have to explain a thing at Round 7, Pick 3. The bottom line is a respectable B+.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Keon Coleman at pick No. 37. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick40 Rnd2 Chop Robinson
By-the-book stuff, Chop Robinson at the 40th pick squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.

They read the board right and Ja'Tavion Sanders was the payoff at Round 3, Pick 3. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
