A sensible, unshowy class lands the Bills a B-.

You can usually follow a front office's logic. This one is harder. The Bills spent Round 3, Pick 36 on Javon Solomon while linebacker, edge rusher and other spots sat unaddressed.

The linebacker spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. That Simpson pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

They are betting Johnson proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
