The Cowboys spent real capital to be 33 picks early on J.J. Weaver, and the board is going to hold them to it.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. The Gordon II pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
