FutureB-
The Raiders cashed the board's mistake on Thieneman: B+. The trade table was a mismatch, and the Raiders were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. The bottom line is a respectable B+.
Thieneman at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick12
Rnd1
Mansoor Delane
In No. 12 they get a press-man option on the boundary at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick55
Rnd2
Emmanuel Pregnon
Value with a capital V on Emmanuel Pregnon in slot 55, a genuine coup. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick56
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
Jake Slaughter at pick No. 56 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick67
Rnd3
Dillon Thieneman
Steal is underselling it; Dillon Thieneman at the Round 3 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick81
Rnd3
Lee Hunter
A tidy bit of business in Round 3, Pick 17, where Lee Hunter graded well above the range. It fills a real need, too.
Pick88
Rnd3
Jacob Rodriguez
A straight-up fair deal on Jacob Rodriguez at the 88th pick, value and slot in agreement. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick97
Rnd3
Caden Curry
They took Caden Curry at par in the 97th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick102
Rnd4
Bryce Lance
Bryce Lance in the Round 4 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick166
Rnd5
Taylen Green
Taylen Green in pick 166 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick180
Rnd6
Bud Clark
They paid sticker price for Bud Clark in pick No. 180, and that is fine. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick219
Rnd7
De'Zhaun Stribling
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing De'Zhaun Stribling in Round 7, Pick 3. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
