There is conviction, and then there is this. The 49ers took C.J. Hanson a full 60 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Wright pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
