Call it larceny. Danny Stutsman sat on the board until No. 131, and the Lions did not need to be asked twice. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The cost of the Lachey reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
