Quarterback settled, Daniels in the fold, and a B+ for the Patriots. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. The cost of the McCaffrey reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. The Tyjae Spears pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
