The Raiders did not so much draft Marcus Yarns as overpay for him, 49 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

For all the activity, offensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Ransaw at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
