Nobody else had Isaac Rex anywhere near pick 251. The 49ers did, by 71 spots, and that gap is the whole story. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.

Getting Hopper where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
